About Us
The project „Resistenza – 8 September“ was originally as Collaborative project conceived by Alfred and Johannes Huber. The project was created as a direct reaction to the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022. Our goal is an artistic exploration of the issues that move us: the dawn of new autocratic political structures, the discarding of the rules-based international order, and violence as a means of politics. The engagement with these themes, which has now lasted for 4 years, manifests itself in two central points of our creative work: the audiovisual symphony project – Resistenza – and the podcast Schallwelten, which has existed for almost 2 years.
Team
This is Johannes
Johannes Huber is a filmmaker and video content creator in Austrian politics. Early on—unlike his musically inclined family—he chose film. During his film and computer science studies in Linz, his familial interest in politics and art evolved into a desire to combine music, film, and politics. With the symphony project „Resistenza“ and the resulting overall project „Polit-Rhythms,“ he implements this approach both artistically and professionally.
This is Dominik
A funny, somewhat eccentric character with a great attention to detail. Even in his youth, he spent his free time intensely studying trains. There is no locomotive series or model number he doesn't know. He contributes to this project by creating several 3D objects needed for this film. This task is where his eye for detail truly shines!
This is Alfred
Dr. Alfred Huber is a physician (neurosurgeon) and composer. Together with his son Johannes Huber, he initiated Polit-Rhythms. The podcast „Schallwelten“ (Sound Worlds) combines music and film with historical and political questions. This interest in social issues is also consistently reflected in Huber's compositional work. In his symphony „Resistenza,“ composed between 2022 and 2024, he processed the shock of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine.
